Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients by gathering detailed histories, performing physical assessments, and utilizing standardized tests to determine functional limitations.
• Develop personalized treatment plans based on patient assessments and integrate evidence-based practice to address specific orthopedic issues.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities and rehabilitative techniques to aid in patient recovery, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and neuromuscular re-education.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient progress, treatment procedures, and billing information to ensure compliance with state and facility protocols.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, expectations, and self-management techniques to empower them in their recovery journey.
• Reassess treatment plans regularly and modify them as necessary based on patient progress and feedback.
• Stay current with orthopedic rehabilitation best practices and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will primarily work with a diverse patient population aged from adolescents to seniors. You will assist individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports-related injuries, chronic pain, and mobility challenges. Your expertise will help patients regain strength, functionality, and independence, positively impacting their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree or higher from a CAPTE-accredited physical therapy program.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the State of Florida; a temporary permit is acceptable.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) HealthCare Provider certification.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with advanced therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, or other manual therapy techniques is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team setting and communicate effectively with patients and families.

Compensation and Benefits

Life and Wellness Services offers a competitive salary range of USD 120,000 – 130,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a fulfilling caseload, our benefits package includes:
