Work Environment

The Physical Therapist role is primarily centered on home care, meaning you will have the opportunity to work directly in patients' homes. This setting allows for a personalized approach to therapy, where you can assess each patient's unique living conditions and tailor your interventions accordingly. You will work Monday through Friday, with the flexibility to choose your own hours, offering a balanced work-life integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to determine their physical abilities and needs in a home care setting.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans designed to aid recovery, improve mobility, and manage pain through various therapeutic interventions including exercises, stretching techniques, and hands-on therapy.
• Utilize advanced therapeutic modalities and equipment to enhance patient outcomes.
• Record treatment sessions, patient progress, and response to interventions meticulously, ensuring documentation is up-to-date for ongoing assessments.
• Reassess and adjust treatment plans as necessary to reflect the evolving needs of patients.
• Educate patients, their families, and caregivers regarding treatment processes and self-care techniques essential for continued progress.
• Actively participate in professional development by attending workshops, engaging in networking opportunities, and staying current with literature in the field of physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Flourish Life, you will work with a diverse population, including children and adults recovering from a range of conditions—these may include post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, neurological disorders, and chronic pain management. Your role not only influences the physical recovery of patients but also fosters their emotional well-being through compassionate care and engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• A valid physical therapy license in the state of Florida is mandatory.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with patients and their families, as well as multidisciplinary team members.
• Strong computer literacy including proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems for documentation.
• A flexible, adaptive approach to patient care that allows for innovative methods of engagement.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in physical therapy, preferably with home health care experience.
• Experience working with populations similar to those served in our facility, including geriatric patients and individuals with acute or chronic health conditions.
• Prior experience with assistive devices and their implementation in rehabilitation plans.
