Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Valera Physical Therapy, you will:

• Conduct initial evaluations and develop individualized rehabilitation plans focused on each patient's unique goals and needs.
• Direct and implement physical therapy treatments aimed at preventing disability, relieving pain, improving muscle function, and restoring mobility.
• Oversee the performance of Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure the effective delivery of care in accordance with established standards and protocols.
• Utilize diagnostic tools to assess the patient's level of function, applying tests related to muscle, nerve, and joint capabilities.
• Implement manual therapeutic exercises and instruct patients on non-manual therapeutic activities.
• Administer and evaluate treatments such as traction and massage, involving a variety of physical agents.
• Assess and fit patients for prosthetics and orthotics, making recommendations for adjustments as needed.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing insights to enhance comprehensive care strategies for clients.
• Prepare detailed clinical records, including evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with all documentation standards.
• Foster relationships with patients and their families, educating them about physical therapy practices and rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• Current CPR certification and valid driver's license.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
