Work Environment\n

This role offers the flexibility of remote work while being part of a dynamic outpatient setting. Our clinic fosters a collaborative atmosphere where mental health professionals engage in continuous learning and growth. With a focus on trauma-informed care, we prioritize maintaining a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for both clients and staff members. The standard work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional adjustments to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and develop appropriate treatment strategies.

• Create and carry out individualized treatment plans aimed at trauma recovery, focusing on enhancing resilience and coping mechanisms in patients.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to deliver effective therapy.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, fostering a safe space for clients to share their experiences and process their trauma.
\n
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless and integrated care for all patients.

• Provide crisis intervention support in the event of trauma-related emergencies, ensuring immediate and compassionate care.
\n
• Educate clients and their families on trauma responses and coping strategies, helping them understand the resources available for their recovery journeys.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation according to legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance and quality of care.

• Engage in case consultations and team meetings to share insights and collaborate on treatment approaches.

• Stay abreast of the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to improve therapeutic offerings continuously.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our client population primarily includes individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, ranging from single-incident traumas to prolonged exposure to chronic stressors. We are committed to serving a diverse demographic, including children, adolescents, and adults, all of whom require tailored therapeutic interventions to support their unique healing journeys.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C in the state of Maryland.

• A strong foundation in trauma-related disorders and the modalities used to treat them.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, displaying compassion and a non-judgmental approach to therapy.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with telehealth platforms.

• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team while managing a diverse caseload.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting, particularly focused on trauma-informed care.

• Experience with providing trauma-focused therapies, including individual and group settings.

• Skills in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques are highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n
