Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for children and adolescents to accurately identify their emotional and psychological needs.

• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans that take into account each child’s developmental stage and family background.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and play therapy, to effectively address a variety of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, effectively communicating with families and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, available treatment options, and community resources to empower them in their journey toward recovery.

• Maintain high standards of confidentiality and legal compliance while documenting all patient interactions and treatment progress in our electronic health record (EHR) system.

• Actively participate in regular team meetings and case consultations, contributing to a culture of shared knowledge and professional development.

• Stay updated on current research and best practices in child and adolescent psychiatry to enhance the quality of care provided to our patients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This therapist will work primarily with children and adolescents facing various mental health challenges. Our clientele includes young individuals struggling with emotional dysregulation, academic-related stress, and behavioral issues, requiring a compassionate and understanding approach that focuses on building rapport and trust.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid and active licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Illinois.

• Thorough knowledge of childhood and adolescent mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment methodologies, and relevant therapeutic approaches.
