Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to evaluate the emotional and developmental needs of children and adolescents.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that are sensitive to the specific needs of young clients and their families.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) to address issues like anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions, empowering parents and caregivers to create nurturing environments that foster emotional growth.

• Collaborate actively with child psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure a holistic approach to care.

• Provide crisis intervention during mental health emergencies involving minors, implementing appropriate strategies to stabilize situations.

• Educate clients and their families about mental health issues, treatment options, and available community resources to promote informed decision-making.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with ethical and legal standards, ensuring the protection of client information.

• Engage in regular team meetings and professional development sessions to stay updated on best practices and advancements in child and adolescent psychiatry.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on young clients, including children and adolescents struggling with a range of mental health challenges. Our practice emphasizes individual therapy, family dynamics, and community engagement to support the overall health and development of our patients.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A valid and current licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in New York State.
\n
• A minimum of three years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, particularly with child and adolescent populations.
\n
• Strong knowledge of therapeutic approaches, evidence-based treatment modalities, and child and adolescent mental health disorders.

• Experience in delivering both individual and family therapy, with a proven ability to connect with young clients and their families.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, demonstrating a compassionate, child-centered approach.

Compensation and Benefits\n
