Key Responsibilities In your role as a Mental Health Counselor, your responsibilities will include: Conducting thorough assessments and developing individualized treatment plans for clients seeking therapy. Delivering high-quality therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices, particularly Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other therapeutic modalities that suit individual client needs. Maintaining meticulous documentation of client progress and session outcomes to facilitate effective treatment. Providing crisis intervention when needed, offering support, and implementing safety plans as required. Engaging in continuous education and professional development opportunities to enhance your practice and contribute to team discussions about best practices. Communicating effectively with clients, showing empathy and active listening skills to ensure a safe therapeutic environment. Patient Population / Client Focus You will primarily work with adult clients who present a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. Understanding the unique circumstances and cultural backgrounds of each client is crucial to tailoring effective interventions that foster meaningful outcomes. Qualifications We require applicants to meet the following qualifications: A master's degree in social work, counseling, or marriage and family therapy from a regionally accredited institution. Active licensure as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPC in the state of Oregon. A minimum of two years of post-graduate experience delivering clinical psychotherapy to adults. Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic techniques, particularly CBT. Strong written communication skills for documentation and clinical reporting. A clean professional record free from disciplinary actions by licensing boards. Preferred Experience While not mandatory, preference will be given to candidates who have experience working in a virtual environment and have advanced training in trauma-informed care or specific therapeutic methods that align with our organizational goals. Familiarity with electronic health record systems and telehealth platforms will also be an asset.
