Work Environment\n

This position will primarily be remote, allowing for flexible work arrangements to enhance work-life balance while still ensuring a strong support system within our team. The work schedule is typically Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility to meet patient needs as they arise.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth mental health assessments that prioritize cultural competency, helping to craft individualized treatment plans that reflect each patient’s unique background and experiences.

• Implement a variety of evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored specifically to the needs and preferences of patients, ensuring that cultural and personal factors are appropriately considered.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions aimed at addressing various mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and more, while fostering resilience and personal growth in patients.

• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care that attends to all aspects of well-being.

• Provide crisis intervention services and support to patients experiencing acute mental health emergencies, demonstrating agility and professionalism in high-pressure situations.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment pathways, and available community resources, facilitating a better understanding of their journeys toward recovery and wellness.

• Maintain compliant and confidential documentation of all client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans, adhering strictly to ethical and legal standards in mental health practice.

• Engage in ongoing professional development through participation in case conferences, team meetings, and cultural competency training programs.

• Stay updated on the latest research, best practices, and relevant cultural considerations impacting mental health therapy to continually improve service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clinic serves a wide array of clients, predominately from multicultural backgrounds, who may face specific challenges tied to their cultural identities, socioeconomic status, or life experiences. We are particularly focused on enhancing access to mental health resources for ethnic minorities, LGBTQ+ individuals, and immigrants, ensuring that all services provided are inclusive, equitable, and tailored to meet diverse client needs.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Clinical (LCSW-C), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Maryland.

• Demonstrated experience or training in providing culturally responsive mental health services to diverse populations.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to build rapport with clients from varied backgrounds.

• Experience delivering therapeutic services in an outpatient or community-based setting.

Compensation and Benefits\n
