Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will be responsible for a diverse range of duties, including:

• Providing trauma-informed counseling services to individuals, couples, and families while integrating Christian counseling principles for clients seeking a faith-based approach.
\n
• Developing and executing personalized treatment plans based on individual client assessments, needs, and goals.
\n
• Delivering services to clients referred from local churches, thus maintaining strong community ties.
\n
• Engaging in community outreach to expand referral sources and build a robust caseload.
\n
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams including social workers, clinical counselors, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive client care.

• Maintaining accurate documentation of client progress and therapy notes within our electronic health record (EHR) system promptly.

• Communicating with the center director regarding scheduling, client needs, and availability to provide optimal care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses on a diverse clientele, encompassing various ages and backgrounds. You will work with clients dealing with trauma, emotional distress, and various mental health challenges. Qualifications\n

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A master’s degree in counseling, social work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
\n
• Independently licensed as an LPC, LMFT, or LCSW in Washington, or actively pursuing licensure with the intent to complete requirements within 200 hours post-residency.
\n
• Proven knowledge of Biblical principles and familiarity with Biblical counseling techniques.
\n
• Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care practices and various therapeutic modalities.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills that enhance therapeutic relationships with clients.
\n
• A compassionate, empathetic approach toward counseling and a strong commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical practices.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of 1 year of trauma counseling experience is required, the following attributes will be highly regarded:

• Dual licensure in Virginia or Maryland.
\n
• Training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) or willingness to complete EMDR basic training within 3 months of hire.

Compensation and Benefits\n
