Family First Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate full-time Physical Therapist (DPT) to join our motivated team in Newark, New Jersey. Work Environment

The role is located onsite in our Newark facility, where you will work closely with a small, collaborative team that includes two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA). Our work hours are Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule. The clinic's atmosphere is supportive and focused on enhancing patient care and satisfaction. You will have access to the latest physical therapy equipment and technology, enabling you to provide high-quality treatments.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to identify patients' conditions, goals, and needs, and develop personalized treatment plans accordingly.
• Manage an individualized patient caseload, ensuring each patient receives dedicated attention and effective treatment strategies, typically one patient per hour.
• Utilize advanced manual therapy techniques and exercise protocols to enhance patients' physical capabilities and lifestyle.
• Implement evidence-based interventions designed to improve patients' range of motion, strength, and mobility while reducing the reliance on medications and surgical options.
• Motivate and guide patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, setting realistic milestones and celebrating their progress.
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, engaging in interdisciplinary teamwork to optimize patient outcomes.
• Document all patient care services thoroughly, maintaining clear communication with patients regarding their treatment plans and progress.
• Evaluate treatment effectiveness and make necessary adjustments to care plans to ensure the best results.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary patient population includes individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, including post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. We emphasize a holistic approach to treatment that not only addresses immediate concerns but also supports long-term health and wellness. Our focus on personalized care ensures that we cater effectively to the unique needs of each patient, thereby fostering trust and rapport.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid State license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• An exemplary professional record with no history of disciplinary actions against the license.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and a solid understanding of exercise prescription.
• Competence in utilizing electronic medical record (EMR) systems, with familiarity in WebPT being an advantage.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist, specifically in orthopedic outpatient settings, is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated success in working with diverse patient populations and handling complex rehabilitation cases.
• Experience developing customized fitness and wellness programs tailored to individual patient needs.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience, along with comprehensive benefits.
