Work Environment

This position is onsite at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Facility located in Centreville, Virginia. Our center features advanced therapeutic equipment, private treatment rooms, and spacious therapy areas designed for optimal patient care and recovery. You will be working alongside an interdisciplinary team that includes occupational therapists, speech therapists, and medical staff, ensuring coordinated and comprehensive care for all patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients with orthopedic-related conditions, determining their functional limitations and rehabilitation potential.
• Formulate and implement tailored treatment plans, addressing varied patient needs and encouraging active participation in their recovery journey.
• Deliver hands-on therapy, utilizing modalities such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and neuromuscular re-education to maximize recovery potential.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and best practices in patient care.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary treatment team, communicating effectively about patient progress and adapting treatment protocols based on shared insights.
• Engage in community outreach initiatives and marketing efforts aimed at increasing awareness of rehabilitation services offered by our clinic.
• Participate in staff development activities, including training sessions and continuing education opportunities, to maintain clinical competence and promote best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will work primarily with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal disorders. You will address a diverse patient demographic, focusing on enhancing their functional capabilities, independence, and quality of life. Your role will significantly impact the rehabilitation journey of athletes, post-operative patients, and individuals dealing with chronic pain conditions.

Qualifications

• Florida State License in Physical Therapy is required.
• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with patients and interdisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in documentation systems and computer applications relevant to patient management.
• Commitment to maintaining the highest professional standards and regulatory compliance.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with previous experience in an outpatient rehabilitation setting, especially those with a focus on orthopedic conditions, will be given preference. Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with current rehabilitation practices will also enhance your eligibility.

Compensation and Benefits
