Position Overview

Wide Stream Pain Solutions is actively seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic team of healthcare professionals in Yonkers, New York. This full-time position will allow you to work closely with renowned diagnostic and interventional cardiologists, contributing to innovative treatments for patients with cardiovascular diseases. Scheduled work hours will be Monday through Friday, totaling 40 hours per week, with shared Saturday coverage as necessary.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage both the physical and psychological problems of patients, offering compassionate care tailored to individual needs.
• Identify normal and abnormal physical findings through thorough assessments, utilizing clinical skills and professional judgment.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans upon initial patient encounters, revising them as necessary based on ongoing evaluations.
• Evaluate patients' physical emotional responses to medications and treatments, ensuring appropriate adjustments for optimal health outcomes.
• Prescribe immunizations based on established schedules and guidelines to promote public health.
• Maintain open, effective communication with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare providers to achieve coordinated patient care.
• Document encounters with precision, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulatory requirements for completeness and timeliness.
• Oversee and maintain up-to-date Problem/Medication lists for each patient during their visits.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Nurse Practitioner will primarily care for patients with cardiovascular conditions, ranging from common ailments to more complex diseases. This includes individuals aged 18 and above presenting various health situations that necessitate thorough assessment and management. Our patient population is diverse, which requires sensitivity to cultural differences and an ability to communicate effectively across various backgrounds.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Nurse Practitioner studies from an accredited institution.
• Valid and current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues alike.
• Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems to facilitate documentation and patient care coordination.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner, with a preference for candidates possessing cardiology experience.

Compensation and Benefits
