Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial evaluations of patients, utilizing standardized assessment tools and clinical judgment to determine their physical condition and specific therapy needs.
• Create individualized therapy plans that set achievable short- and long-term rehabilitation goals for patients dealing with orthopedic injuries or conditions.
• Implement a variety of treatment techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities like heat, cold, and ultrasound therapy, to help patients regain mobility and strength.
• Regularly monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on individual responses and healing trajectories.
• Educate patients about their diagnoses and empower them through home exercise programs, fostering independence and self-management in their recovery journey.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of each patient session, including treatment notes and outcomes, ensuring adherence to clinic policies.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers, including physicians and occupational therapists, to deliver integrated care that addresses all aspects of the patient's health.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with patients, offering emotional support and motivational coaching throughout their rehabilitation process.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work primarily with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You'll encounter a diverse patient demographic, including athletes, active adults, and seniors, each with unique needs and recovery goals. Your expertise will be pivotal in developing tailored treatment plans that facilitate not only recovery but also the restoration of function and mobility.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• Valid California state licensure as a Physical Therapist is mandatory for practice.
• Deep knowledge of human anatomy and physiology as it relates to physical therapy.
• Demonstrated strong communication skills to effectively interact with a diverse patient population and collaborate with a healthcare team.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team-oriented environment to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
