Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care by managing the complete therapeutic process for an assigned group of patients, in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare providers.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate physical health and therapeutic needs, participating in the creation of individualized care plans that focus on achieving specific rehabilitation goals.
• Implement treatment interventions primarily focused on restoring functional movement, strength, and endurance through evidence-based practices and therapeutic techniques.
• Deliver evaluations and physical therapy treatments in accordance with the legal and ethical standards established by the profession.
• Assess the progress of patients and adjust treatment plans accordingly, ensuring they align with the physician's recommendations and promote optimal recovery.
• Provide education and guidance to patients, caregivers, and family members regarding therapeutic exercises, the use of assistive devices, and self-management techniques to facilitate recovery outside of therapy sessions.
• Prioritize your caseload based on patient needs, coordinating daily staffing and treatment assignments to maximize efficiency and patient care quality.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will involve working with a diverse patient demographic spanning adult and pediatric populations, particularly within orthopedic settings. You'll engage with patients recovering from surgery, injury, or chronic conditions, ensuring they receive tailored interventions that address their unique challenges and goals. The focus will be on enhancing functional mobility, relieving pain, and promoting independence.

Qualifications

• A valid and active Physical Therapy license in California.
• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or willingness to obtain it within 30 days of employment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in an orthopedic rehabilitation setting is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices in physical therapy and the ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits
