Key Responsibilities

• Direct physical therapy treatment towards preventing disability and relieving pain while aiming to develop, improve, and restore clients' muscle function.
• Ensure the effective implementation of individualized treatment plans while overseeing the work of Physical Therapy Assistants.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' functional abilities using diagnostic tests, assessing muscle, nerve, and joint functions.
• Analyze patients' home environments to facilitate rehabilitation, advising on adaptations that promote client independence.
• Administer a range of therapeutic exercises and treatments, including manual techniques and the application of physical agents.
• Evaluate, fit, and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices, collaborating with physicians to suggest necessary modifications.
• Document clinical records meticulously, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing to the planning and coordination of comprehensive treatment strategies.
• Provide guidance and support to clients and families regarding their total physical therapy programs, enhancing their engagement in the healing process.
• Maintain timely communication with the physician and other healthcare professionals related to changes in client conditions.
• Complete on-site functional assessments and revise care plans as necessary, ensuring the best use of community resources.
• Implement innovative and evidence-based approaches to therapy, adapting procedures to meet the evolving needs of patients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your expertise will serve a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgery, managing chronic illnesses, or coping with injuries. You will work closely with patients of all ages, fostering an empowering environment that encourages active participation in their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a related field.
• A minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience in an outpatient or rehabilitation setting.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida, in good standing.
• Current CPR certification.
• Proficiency in evaluating and implementing effective physical therapy interventions.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and their families.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in outpatient physical therapy settings, particularly in similar rehabilitation facilities.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
