Work Environment

As a licensed counselor with Balanced Minds Counseling, you will operate in a supportive remote work environment. Although primarily conducted through virtual means, you will also have access to our outpatient office for in-person sessions when necessary. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of clients to understand their unique mental health needs.
• Develop individualized therapy plans tailored to each client, incorporating evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic approaches, and solution-focused brief therapy.
• Facilitate therapeutic sessions for individuals, couples, families, and groups, creating a safe and nurturing environment for open discussion and healing.
• Keep accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation as required by state and federal regulations, ensuring confidentiality and ethical standards are maintained.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through workshops and training opportunities to enhance knowledge of the latest mental health research and best practices.
• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals and support staff to provide comprehensive care for clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will focus on a diverse clientele, including individuals and families facing various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. You will play a vital role in enabling clients to develop coping strategies and achieve personal growth, particularly for those who may have limited access to mental health services.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas.
• Minimum of two years of clinical counseling experience, with a proven track record in a therapeutic setting.
• Strong understanding of legal and ethical standards relevant to mental health practice.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively connect with a diverse range of clients.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team to support client care.

• Annual salary range of USD 70,000 to 90,000, commensurate with experience and caseload specifics.
