Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments to evaluate clients' mental health statuses, identifying issues such as anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and trauma.
• Develop personalized treatment plans and therapeutic strategies based on individual client needs, incorporating evidence-based practices.
• Facilitate regular counseling sessions that empower clients with actionable coping strategies and resources tailored to their unique challenges.
• Document patient progress effectively in electronic health record (EHR) systems to maintain up-to-date patient care plans and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Make referrals to external healthcare providers, such as psychiatrists, when pharmaceutical intervention is needed in conjunction with therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a varied clientele, including individuals dealing with mental health disorders, those recovering from substance use issues, and others seeking support for emotional challenges. Understanding the unique cultural contexts of our clients is vital, as many come from diverse backgrounds that contribute to their mental health experiences. Your expertise in culturally responsive therapeutic practices will be crucial in delivering effective care.

Qualifications

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A valid professional license (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) to practice in Texas.
• Minimum of four years of clinical experience, particularly in a remote counseling capacity.
• In-depth knowledge of various mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.
• Proficient communication skills, demonstrating the ability to establish rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Experience with crisis intervention strategies and a demonstrated capacity to maintain composure in challenging situations.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems for maintaining organized and compliant patient documentation.

• Demonstrated cultural competence and a passion for advocacy within mental health practice.
• Background in continuing education and staying abreast of the latest advancements in mental health treatment.

Compensation and Benefits
