Key Responsibilities

In your role as a mental health counselor, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting comprehensive individual counseling sessions via secure video chat, ensuring accessible and ethical mental health care.
• Implementing solution-focused therapeutic modalities tailored to client needs, including cognitive-behavioral strategies and psychodynamic approaches.
• Crafting personalized treatment plans that address specific mental health challenges, while continuously adapting these plans based on client progress and feedback.
• Facilitating insightful discussions that help clients understand their emotions and behaviors, promoting personal growth and resilience.
• Monitoring client advancement throughout the treatment process, guiding them in establishing and maintaining healthy coping mechanisms.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your clients will primarily consist of low acuity adults seeking support for a broad spectrum of mental health concerns. This population typically includes individuals facing mild to moderate anxiety, depression, and other related challenges who are looking for effective strategies to manage their well-being. By focusing on stable clients, you will have the opportunity to make a tangible difference without the pressures often associated with crisis intervention.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Current, unrestricted licensure to practice independently in one of the following: Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• No provisional licenses or disciplinary actions on record.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a natural aptitude for empathy and understanding.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with virtual communication tools and electronic health record systems.

Preferred Experience

While not required, experience in telehealth or providing therapy via digital platforms can be beneficial. Familiarity with treatment modalities tailored to various mental health conditions and engagement with culturally diverse populations will enhance your effectiveness in this role.
