Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to formulate individualized therapy strategies tailored to client needs.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to diverse client groups, including individuals, couples, families, and support groups.
• Utilize various therapeutic methodologies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy, to enhance treatment outcomes.
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate clinical documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
• Participate actively in professional development through workshops and training to remain informed about the latest advancements in mental health care.

In this role, you will engage with a diverse clientele, many of whom may face barriers to accessing traditional mental health services. Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• An active and unrestricted license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Connecticut is mandatory.
• Minimum of two years of counseling experience, preferably in a clinical setting focused on mental health.
• Strong understanding of legal, ethical, and professional standards in mental health practice.

• Proficiency in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and relevant technologies is essential.

Preferred Experience

• Experience or specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-focused therapy, or substance misuse treatment is highly desirable.
• Prior work in community health settings or with underrepresented populations can enhance the applicant’s suitability.

• Competitive salary range of $70,000 - $90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and caseload availability.
