Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough biopsychosocial assessments appropriate for students of diverse ages and backgrounds, evaluating mental health concerns, substance abuse issues, and any influencing medical factors.

• Offer behavioral health treatments in various formats, including individual and group counseling, intake evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and treatment planning.

• Implement crisis intervention strategies to effectively support students in distress, intervening promptly when serious concerns arise.

• Provide comprehensive referrals to local resources, community aid programs, and medication management support to ensure consistent and holistic care for students and their families.

• Collaborate with Quality Improvement teams on data collection methods and performance tracking to enhance service delivery and patient outcomes.

• Maintain meticulous electronic documentation of patient evaluations, progress notes, and counseling sessions, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be to support children and adolescents within a school setting, assisting them in overcoming psychological, emotional, and behavioral challenges. You will work directly with students experiencing a wide array of issues ranging from academic stress and behavioral problems to mental health crises. By fostering collaborative relationships not only with students but also with teachers and school administrators, you will contribute to a supportive educational environment aimed at student growth and development.

Qualifications\n

• Possession of a valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in the state of New York.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution along with a minimum of three years of post-licensure experience in a relevant mental health setting.

Compensation and Benefits\n
