Work Environment

As a Physician Assistant at Eligant Axis Behavioral Center, you will work onsite in our hospital, which provides state-of-the-art medical services within a collaborative and supportive atmosphere. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive healthcare services as a primary care provider, managing the medical needs of patients efficiently in a busy environment.
• Conduct thorough physical exams and health assessments to develop precise diagnoses.
• Treat both acute and chronic conditions, employing evidence-based practices.
• Prescribe appropriate medications and therapies based on individual patient needs.
• Educate patients and their families on wellness strategies, disease prevention, and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to create and implement effective treatment plans.
• Manage follow-up care, including referrals to specialists and appointment coordination.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid New York State Physician Assistant license.
• Certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) is required.
• A current DEA number for prescription authority.

Preferred Experience
