This position is remote, providing flexibility while you deliver high-quality therapeutic services from your home or in our outpatient office in Frisco, Texas. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct therapeutic sessions for children and adolescents aged 3 to 20, either in-home or within our outpatient setting.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques focused on anger management, coping strategies, and social skills development.
\n
• Address and reduce high-risk behaviors, including self-injurious behavior (SIB) and physical aggression, using tailored interventions.
\n
• Enhance decision-making capabilities for youth and their caretakers to effectively manage in-home behavioral challenges.
\n
• Work collaboratively with the Child Family Treatment Team, including other therapists and service professionals, to create cohesive treatment plans that meet the diverse needs of our clients.

• Document all treatment processes, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring compliance with organizational deadlines.
\n
• Participate in monthly team meetings, contributing insights and recommendations based on your clinical assessments.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with children diagnosed with developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. This role demands sensitivity and understanding of the unique experiences these children face, making cultural competency, particularly for bilingual practitioners fluent in Spanish or Portuguese, essential. Your therapeutic support can profoundly influence their emotional and social growth, helping families navigate their challenges more effectively.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field is required.

• Possession of an active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license.

• A commitment to working a minimum of 5-10 hours per week, primarily during after-school hours (4 PM - 7 PM) with some weekend availability.

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel for in-home sessions.
\n
• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.

• Experience with positive behavior support techniques is essential.

• Prior involvement in working with children and adolescents who have intellectual or developmental disabilities.
