Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients that identify mental health challenges and substance use issues, ensuring a nuanced understanding of co-occurring disorders.

• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, utilizing evidence-based interventions tailored specifically to meet their unique needs, including therapies like Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping clients build essential coping skills, emotional regulation techniques, and relapse prevention strategies.

• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care, ensuring that clients receive comprehensive support throughout their recovery journey.

• Engage in regular substance use monitoring and apply motivational interviewing techniques to effectively support clients in embracing recovery.

• Deliver educational resources to clients and their families, elucidating the crucial relationship between mental health issues and substance use disorders, thereby fostering greater treatment compliance and understanding.

• Maintain accurate documentation of client progress, interventions, and referrals, adhering strictly to ethical and legal guidelines.

• Actively participate in case conferences and staff meetings, contributing insights and learning from interdisciplinary trainings specifically focused on co-occurring disorder treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses on serving clients facing the dual challenge of mental health conditions alongside substance use disorders. You will work with a diverse clientele that includes adolescents and adults, providing tailored interventions that take into account each individual’s unique life circumstances and recovery goals.

Qualifications\n

• Master's Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.

• Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based therapies, specifically for co-occurring disorders, including models such as Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• A strong understanding of the interrelationship between various mental health issues and substance use disorders.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with an aptitude for effective collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This full-time role offers a competitive salary range of USD 115,000–130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
