Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop individualized safety plans to support clients who may be at risk of crisis.
\n
• Document interactions and treatment plans promptly, ensuring same-day completion of records for all clients requiring potential crisis service interventions.
\n
• Complete critical incident reports efficiently within 24 hours when dictated by client circumstances.
\n
• Provide after-hours phone support on an alternating basis to facilitate care coordination for clients outside of regular hours.
\n
• Work proactively with clients to prevent the escalation of crises and subsequent need for urgent services.
\n
• Maintain and update crisis alerts in collaboration with county crisis services to ensure clients receive timely assistance.
\n
• Coordinate and manage transitions between hospital and outpatient services to ensure a smooth continuum of care, collaborating closely with hospital staff to facilitate discharges.
\n
• Utilize crisis de-escalation skills daily, serving as the Clinician of the Day to provide milieu support.
\n

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on adults facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and significant life transitions. This role requires an empathetic approach to counseling, understanding individual client needs, and tailoring support strategies that align with their specific goals. Your contributions will directly impact client outcomes, enabling them to navigate their mental health journeys with confidence and resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A valid independent license in mental health counseling (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, LPC) is required, active in the state of Oregon.

• A Master's or Doctorate degree in clinical psychology, counseling, or clinical social work from an accredited program (e.g., MA, MS, MSW, MFT, MHC, PhD, PsyD).

• Strong understanding of mental health practices and a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in crisis intervention and management; familiarity with crisis de-escalation techniques.

• Proven ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms, with excellent documentation skills.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a high caseload environment.

• Experience with electronic health record systems and documentation processes.

Compensation and Benefits\n
