Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations, which involve assessing medical histories, performing specialized measurements, and documenting findings to guide treatment planning.
• Explaining evaluation results and proposed treatment plans to patients and their families, ensuring they are engaged in setting recovery goals.
• Implementing evidence-based treatment protocols tailored to each patient's unique needs, while also adapting methods based on their ongoing progress and condition.
• Coordinating with other healthcare professionals, recognizing any changes in patient status that necessitate adjustments to their care plan, and securing additional medical consultation when needed.

• Meeting productivity expectations while maintaining an organized schedule and being punctual for sessions and meetings.

• Contributing to departmental goal development and ensuring compliance with applicable healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on orthopedic patients, working with individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions that impact mobility and physical function. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• A valid state license to practice physical therapy in Florida.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
