Work Environment

The work setting for this position is onsite at our well-established rehabilitation facility, which promotes a supportive and friendly atmosphere among staff and patients alike. We operate from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, allowing our team to maintain a work-life balance while dedicating time to professional development and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of each patient's physical condition, functional abilities, and rehabilitation goals through detailed assessments of strength, range of motion, and overall mobility.
• Craft individualized treatment plans that are specifically designed around assessment findings and patient needs, ensuring that goals are achievable and measurable.
• Utilize hands-on techniques, therapeutic exercises, and modalities such as heat, ice, or electrical stimulation to alleviate pain, enhance mobility, and aid in recovery.
• Instruct and guide patients on proper body mechanics and ensure they understand injury prevention methods, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery.
• Regularly monitor patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on observed outcomes and feedback.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and nursing staff, to provide holistic and coordinated care.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records that document treatment interventions and outcomes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and facilitating effective communication among team members.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will care for a diverse patient population with varied conditions such as back and neck pain, joint pain, post-surgical rehabilitation, and balance deficits. Each patient's treatment journey is unique, making your role crucial in developing tailored approaches that lead to successful recoveries.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist in Nevada.
• Board certification from the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) is a plus, although clinical experience will take precedence.
• Demonstrated proficiency in advanced physical therapy techniques and modalities.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively assess and address rehabilitation needs of individuals.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients, their families, and the healthcare team.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of five years of clinical experience in physical therapy, specifically with a focus on a variety of rehabilitation conditions.
• Experience working in a rehabilitation facility with a well-rounded patient demographic.
• Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems and documentation practices.

Compensation and Benefits
