Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments through comprehensive interviews, documenting clients' mental health concerns from the first consultation to discharge.

• Evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health to inform individualized treatment plans.

• Design and implement effective intervention strategies tailored for individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate therapeutic sessions tailored to clients' needs, adjusting techniques as necessary to promote engagement and healing.

• Regularly monitor client progress and adapt treatment plans to ensure optimal outcomes throughout the therapeutic process.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to develop comprehensive care plans that address both mental and physical health needs.

• Maintain communication with healthcare providers regarding client care, particularly for those admitted to hospitals or requiring specialized services.

• Support families and primary caregivers in navigating the complexities of mental health challenges.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LCPC, LCSW) in the state of Illinois.

• A minimum of one year of experience in a mental health counseling role is required, demonstrating sound clinical judgment and patient care.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR, to manage client records.
\n
• An understanding of the complexities associated with co-occurring disorders, including addiction and physical health conditions.

• Familiarity with the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong emphasis on empathy and active listening abilities.

Compensation and Benefits\n
