Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed assessments to explore each patient's unique trauma history and tailor appropriate treatment paths.

• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, emphasizing resilience-building and coping strategies.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate healing.

• Lead individual and group therapy sessions, helping clients work through traumatic experiences and foster emotional growth.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to create a cohesive treatment approach for each patient.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring client safety and resource availability.

• Educate clients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and external support resources to empower them in their recovery.

• Maintain meticulous documentation in adherence to ethical and legal standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals who have experienced significant trauma, including but not limited to PTSD and dissociative disorders. You will work closely with diverse clients who may have various backgrounds, each presenting unique challenges associated with their trauma history. Your expertise in trauma-focused therapies will help guide these patients toward meaningful recovery and improved mental health outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Must possess a current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW within Texas.

• Minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, preferably focused on trauma treatment.

• Extensive knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed care principles.

• Proven experience delivering trauma-specific interventions and therapies.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, maintaining a compassionate, non-judgmental approach with clients.

• Capacity to remain calm and composed in high-stress scenarios, ensuring effective client support during distressing moments.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and other clinical software tools.
\n
