Work Environment

This role is onsite at our Clearwater Rehabilitation Center, a facility equipped with advanced rehabilitation equipment and technology designed to support the needs of patients recovering from various physical challenges. As a Physical Therapist, you will be part of an interdisciplinary team, including nurses, physical therapy assistants, and case managers, all committed to providing comprehensive care. Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Baylor Physical Therapy, your key responsibilities will include:

• Directing physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disabilities, alleviating pain, and improving or restoring muscle function in compliance with individual care strategies.
• Overseeing the implementation of care plans by physical therapy assistants, ensuring high standards of practice are maintained.
• Conducting evaluative assessments through diagnostic tests that measure muscle, nerve, joint, and functional abilities to determine the best course of action for patient rehabilitation.
• Making rehabilitative recommendations based on evaluations of patients' home environments, in order to enhance their independence.
• Delivering tailored physical therapy services as prescribed by physicians, including administering manual exercises, traction, and massages while instructing clients on their rehabilitation exercises.
• Evaluating, fitting, and adjusting prosthetic and orthotic devices while communicating necessary adjustments to physicians.
• Maintaining thorough clinical records, such as initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with OASIS guidelines.
• Actively participating as a team member in case conference discussions and collaborating with other healthcare professionals for holistic treatment planning.
• Providing education to clients and families regarding therapy devices and the overall therapy program, supporting them at every step of their recovery journey.
• Facilitating supervisory relationships with Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure a seamless continuum of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will engage with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgery, injury, stroke, or those managing chronic pain. Our clients often require specialized rehabilitation strategies tailored to their unique circumstances. You will play a pivotal role in assessing their needs and implementing effective treatment plans, ensuring each patient receives compassionate care that addresses not only their physical needs but also their emotional and psychological well-being.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• A valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Florida.
• Strong commitment to clinical excellence and a passion for patient care.
• Exceptional communication skills to foster positive relationships with clients and interdisciplinary team members.
• Current CPR certification and a valid driver's license with automobile insurance.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of experience is required, candidates with experience in acute care or home care settings will be preferred. Those with a specialty in geriatric care or sport-related injuries are also encouraged to apply. Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
