Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual in-home therapy and group sessions in outpatient settings tailored to each client’s needs.

• Deliver evidence-based interventions focusing on anger management, coping strategies, social skills, and the reduction of high-risk behaviors like self-injurious actions or physical aggression.

• Enhance decision-making skills among youth and caregivers to effectively manage behavioral challenges at home.

• Work collaboratively with the Child Family Treatment Team, consisting of interdisciplinary professionals, to ensure a holistic approach to support.
\n
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including intake forms, treatment plans, and progress notes, adhering to established deadlines.
\n
• Participate in monthly meetings to discuss client progress and provide actionable recommendations for treatment adjustments.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily involves working with children aged 3 to 20 who face developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. The ideal therapist will have cultural competency, possibly bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese, to effectively communicate and connect with diverse families. Your role will directly impact these children's quality of life and the well-being of their families by facilitating therapeutic intervention programs that build coping mechanisms and life skills.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.

• Active and unrestricted LMFT license in the state of Washington.
\n
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours, specifically from 4-7 PM, with flexibility for weekends.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in providing positive behavior support and therapeutic services to youth with behavioral challenges.

• Background in working with children who have intellectual or developmental disabilities (I/DD) is highly advantageous.

• Possession of a valid driver’s license and a registered vehicle to transport materials and attend client sessions effectively.

• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.

Compensation and Benefits\n
