Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations, crisis interventions, and detailed assessments for incarcerated individuals seeking support.

• Provide ongoing therapeutic counseling tailored to the needs of patients, including individual and group therapy sessions.

• Coordinate with the Department of Correctional Services to facilitate access to clinically appropriate care and housing for patients.

• Completing statistical and clinical documentation accurately and timely to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

• Lead group treatment sessions in mental health observation units to foster therapeutic discussions and provide peer support.
\n
• Participate in clinical supervision meetings, case conferences, and treatment planning sessions to enhance collaborative care.

• Utilize psychological testing when assigned to assist in the diagnostic process and treatment planning.

• Supervise social work interns and student volunteers, guiding them through the intricacies of mental health counseling.

• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisory personnel to support operational efficiency.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary client population for this role includes incarcerated individuals who may struggle with behavioral issues, substance use disorders, and severe mental health conditions. This demographic often requires specialized care tailored to high-stress environments, and you will be responsible for ensuring that their unique needs are met through empathetic and effective counseling practices.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A valid license as a LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.

• A minimum of five years of professional experience in providing direct client care in a behavioral health setting.

• At least two years of post-licensure experience working in applicable environments.

• Familiarity with substance use treatment modalities.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This role offers a competitive salary of USD 115,000 – 130,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
