This role will be primarily remote, providing you with the flexibility to manage your schedule while making a significant impact. Our outpatient office serves as a resource for therapeutic sessions, and you will facilitate both individual and group therapy in the community. Key Responsibilities\n

• Deliver individualized in-home therapy sessions or conduct group therapy in our outpatient center, tailoring approaches to meet the unique needs of each child and family.

• Implement therapeutic techniques to support children in managing anger, developing coping mechanisms, and enhancing social skills, with a focus on reducing high-risk behaviors such as self-injury and aggression.
\n
• Enhance decision-making skills for both youth and caregivers to effectively address and manage behavioral challenges within the home environment.
\n
• Collaborate consistently with the Child Family Treatment Team and multidisciplinary professionals to create comprehensive care plans and ensure a holistic approach to support.
\n
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, to ensure compliance and continuity of care.
\n
• Participate in monthly team meetings to discuss client progress, share insights, and develop recommendations for ongoing support.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with Mindful Haven Solutions, you will focus on serving children aged 3 to 20 who experience various developmental and intellectual disabilities. Your expertise will not only address their therapeutic needs but will also involve engaging their families in the therapeutic process to foster cohesive support systems.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field is required.
\n
• An active and unrestricted LMFT license is essential for this role.
\n
• Candidates must be available for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4-7 PM), with weekend flexibility being a strong advantage.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in providing positive behavior support and therapeutic modalities for children and adolescents, particularly those with developmental or intellectual disabilities.

• Prior experience working with children aged 3 to 20 is highly desired.
\n
• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle are necessary for travel to client homes.
\n
• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is required.
\n
