Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations of patients to identify functional limitations and develop evidence-based treatment plans.
• Implement therapy protocols that use a range of techniques, including manual therapy, exercise prescription, and patient education to facilitate healing and recovery.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers, offering consultation on patient care options and the continuum of rehabilitation.
• Engage actively in maintaining accurate and timely documentation regarding patient evaluations, treatment progress, and communication with referral sources.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, community outreach, and program development to enhance patient care services.
• Supervise and support the development of physical therapist assistants, aides, and students, ensuring adherence to best practices.
• Develop discharge plans in collaboration with patients, their families, and the healthcare team, ensuring a smooth transition and continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports-related injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Your role is crucial in helping patients regain mobility, strength, and independence. By assessing patient needs and customizing rehabilitation strategies, you will significantly impact their recovery journey, contributing not only to physical recovery but also to emotional well-being.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred to meet evolving healthcare standards.
• Current state licensure in Physical Therapy and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification are mandatory.
• Demonstrable skills in verbal and written communication, as well as proficiency in electronic medical record systems and word processing.

Compensation and Benefits
