Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments that evaluate patients' trauma histories and mental health status to inform treatment plans.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery, ensuring that interventions are tailored to each client's unique needs and circumstances.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), during individual sessions to promote healing.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions designed to help clients process their trauma experiences, develop effective coping strategies, and cultivate resilience.

• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients.

• Respond to crisis situations, providing immediate intervention and support to clients experiencing trauma-related emergencies.

• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available community resources that facilitate recovery.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of clinical assessments, treatment plans, and therapy sessions in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings, contributing to a culture of shared learning and trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay current on the latest research, techniques, and best practices in trauma therapy to enhance the quality of care provided.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including domestic abuse, combat exposure, natural disasters, and other life-altering events. You will work with clients of diverse backgrounds, providing culturally competent care that respects their individual experiences and perspectives. Your contributions are vital to helping these individuals heal from their past traumas, reclaim their lives, and foster hope for the future.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.

• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and a commitment to employing trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, combined with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to therapy.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling or therapy, specifically focusing on trauma.

• Ability to remain composed and effective in high-stress situations, demonstrating strong crisis management skills.

Compensation and Benefits\n
