Work Environment\n

This position is designed for remote work, accommodating the growing need for flexible mental health services. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with some evening shifts based on patient needs, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to accurately identify the needs, strengths, and goals of clients seeking treatment for substance use disorders.

• Develop personalized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based modalities, including motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral approaches, ensuring each plan aligns with best practices in addiction recovery.

• Facilitate individual counseling sessions that encourage self-exploration and behavioral change while empowering clients to overcome their challenges.

• Lead group therapy sessions, fostering a supportive environment for clients to share experiences, learn from peers, and build community connections.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, addiction medicine specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care, promoting comprehensive treatment plans.

• Provide crisis intervention as necessary, offering immediate support to clients experiencing substance-related emergencies.

• Educate clients and their families about addiction, effective recovery strategies, and available community resources to bolster their understanding and support networks.

• Document all patient interactions and treatment plans meticulously in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing appropriate electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Actively engage in team meetings for case consultations, sharing insights and challenges while participating in ongoing professional development initiatives.

• Stay informed on the latest research and advancements in the field of substance use treatment to continually enhance the quality of care provided.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work primarily with individuals grappling with substance use disorders. Our patient population varies widely in background, including different ages and socioeconomic statuses. Each patient presents unique challenges and opportunities for growth, requiring a tailored, empathetic approach to therapy. Understanding the complexities of addiction, including its socio-economic and psychological dimensions, is crucial in this role.

Qualifications\n

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Active and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, or Psychologist in the state of California.

• Comprehensive knowledge of substance use disorders, treatment methodologies, and recovery-oriented care.

• Proven experience in delivering effective individual and group therapy within a substance use treatment context.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating empathy, a non-judgmental attitude, and the ability to establish trust with clients.

• Strong commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries, while abiding by ethical guidelines.

• Familiarity with EHR systems and computer software to ensure accurate patient documentation and communication.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this role ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
