Work Environment

As a Clinical Physical Therapist, you will work in a state-of-the-art outpatient office located in the bustling community of Elizabethport, NJ. Here, you will be immersed in a vibrant, multidisciplinary team that values innovation, excellence, and patient-centered care. Our facility is designed to facilitate a variety of therapeutic activities, featuring specialized equipment and treatment areas to optimize rehabilitation outcomes. You will work Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional flexibility to accommodate patient needs and clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to determine their physical therapy needs and establish an individualized treatment plan focused on enhancing mobility, strength, and overall functionality.
• Implement treatment plans through guided therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities designed to promote physical well-being and alleviate pain, ensuring patient safety and comfort at all times.
• Educate patients and their families about appropriate body mechanics, exercise techniques, and home exercise programs that will facilitate their ongoing recovery journey.
• Utilize advanced modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy as part of treatment regimens, while meticulously adhering to protocols and patient safety standards.
• Monitor and document patient progress, meticulously tracking range of motion, strength gains, and overall functional improvement to evaluate the effectiveness of treatment strategies.
• Maintain treatment areas by preparing necessary equipment and supplies, ensuring a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for therapy sessions.
• Collaborate closely with a diverse interdisciplinary team, including Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists, to ensure integrated patient care and optimal treatment outcomes.
• Provide emotional support and motivation to patients throughout their rehabilitation process, fostering a positive and encouraging atmosphere.
• Adhere to ethical standards and maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your expertise will be invaluable in aiding a wide range of patients, from those recovering from orthopedic surgeries to individuals experiencing neurological impairments or seeking rehabilitation for sports-related injuries. Each patient presents unique challenges, and your role will be critical in developing strategies that address their specific needs, enabling them to regain independence and functionality.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of one year of clinical experience in a relevant physical therapy setting, preferably in outpatient rehabilitation services.
• Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and work effectively within a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of one year of experience is required, candidates with additional experience in specialized rehabilitation areas such as sports therapy, pediatrics, or geriatrics will be highly regarded. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and documentation is also advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
