Although the position is primarily remote, some team meetings may be conducted in-person or virtually to enhance communication and team dynamics.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient's trauma history and specific needs.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery, focusing on resilience-building and coping strategies.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to assist patients in processing traumatic experiences and cultivating healing mechanisms.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive, integrated patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention and support for patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating calmness and expertise in high-stress situations.

• Educate patients and their families regarding trauma responses, effective coping strategies, and available resources.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring a thorough understanding of electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Engage in case consultations and participate in professional development activities focused on trauma-informed care methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily interact with individuals who have experienced trauma, including those diagnosed with PTSD, complex trauma, and related dissociative disorders. You will support patients from various backgrounds, ensuring culturally competent care and respect for individual experiences. Understanding a patient's personal journey and trauma history will be core to your treatment philosophy, and you will adapt your methods to resonate with their unique circumstances.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Psychologist, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, preferably with trauma survivors.

• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed treatment modalities, and resilience-building strategies.

• Exceptionally developed interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to patient care.

• Proficient in the use of EHR systems and other computer applications relevant to patient management.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This role offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
