This role is primarily conducted via telehealth, allowing you to connect with patients wherever they may be located within California. Our remote work model is enhanced by regular team meetings and case consultations conducted through secure online platforms, ensuring that you receive continuous support from colleagues and have access to necessary resources. The flexibility of remote work is balanced with a structured daily schedule, typically from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts as required to meet patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments specifically tailored for older adults, recognizing the nuanced issues that may arise with aging.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that consider cognitive changes, medical conditions, and psychosocial factors affecting elderly mental health.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and supportive therapy, providing both individual and family sessions to better meet patient needs.

• Collaborate with our geriatric psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to assure holistic approaches to patient care.

• Be proactive in crisis management, offering immediate support during mental health emergencies that involve elderly patients.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health disorders, treatment pathways, and community resources available to them.

• Maintain precise and confidential patient records, following both legal and ethical guidelines to uphold the highest standards of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will serve a diverse population of elderly patients facing mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, dementia-related disorders, and other age-specific challenges. Your therapeutic approach will be sensitive to the unique life experiences of each patient, aiming to enhance their mental health and overall quality of life. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution is required.

• Valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of California.

• At least two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, especially in geriatric mental health settings.

Compensation and Benefits\n
