This full-time position is primarily remote, delivering essential mental health services to students within our unique school environment located in Woodbridge, New Jersey. Work Environment\n

As part of a remote and flexible work arrangement, you will have the ability to engage with students via teletherapy platforms, while still being an integral part of the school's mental health framework. The typical working hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts and rotating weekends to meet the needs of our students effectively. Some on-call availability may also be necessary for responding to urgent mental health situations.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments by carefully evaluating each student’s personal history, presenting concerns, and potential risk factors to form an accurate understanding of their needs.

• Collaborate with students to develop personalized treatment plans that focus on addressing mental health challenges, enhancing emotional well-being, and ensuring a smooth integration into the school community.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed approaches tailored to each student's unique experiences and needs.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, providing students with tools for personal growth, emotional regulation, and effective coping strategies in a safe, supportive setting.

• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team comprising psychiatrists, psychologists, and psychiatric nurse practitioners to ensure holistic care and seamless treatment continuity.

• Provide crisis intervention for students during mental health emergencies, employing de-escalation techniques and making timely referrals to higher levels of care when necessary.

• Educate students and their families about mental health conditions, treatment pathways, and community resources, fostering greater understanding and empowerment.

• Maintain precise and current documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, adhering to all legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions, contributing insights and strategies that enhance collaborative efforts for improved student outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily support students from various backgrounds and age groups, each presenting unique mental health needs. Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid LCSW licensure in the state of New Jersey.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
