Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess patients in a home care setting, constructing tailored treatment plans based on individual needs and recovery goals.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic methods, including targeted exercises, manual techniques, and specialized equipment to alleviate pain and enhance mobility.
• Monitor patient progress by meticulously documenting treatments and outcomes to inform future therapeutic interventions.
• Adjust treatment plans as necessary, ensuring that the goals set are continually in alignment with the patient's recovery trajectory.
• Educate patients, caregivers, and families on effective usage of assistive devices and best practices for ongoing physical therapy at home.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in physical therapy by attending workshops, reading relevant literature, and participating in peer networks.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will encounter a diverse patient population ranging from children recovering from sports injuries to adults rehabilitating post-surgery. Your role will directly impact patients with various mobility challenges, equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge to regain independence and improve overall health.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required.
• A valid state license to practice physical therapy in Florida.

• Basic computer proficiency, including experience with word processing and electronic health record systems.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations and patient needs.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
