Work Environment

The position is located onsite at our well-equipped rehabilitation facility in Immokalee, FL. Our workspace is designed to support rehabilitation and recovery, featuring state-of-the-art equipment and resources to assist our therapists in delivering evidence-based care. As part of our team, you will work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, enjoying a structured schedule that allows for a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will have a multifaceted role that includes:

• Adhering to state practice guidelines while supervising and evaluating the performance of physical therapy aides and assistants.
• Conducting comprehensive assessments of patients with functional limitations, establishing individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings.
• Implementing and modifying treatment protocols as necessary, in response to patient progress and the evolving healthcare landscape.
• Documenting patient care activities meticulously, ensuring accurate records of evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries to track patient journeys effectively.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers to enhance care coordination and improve overall patient outcomes.
• Engaging with patients and their families throughout the rehabilitation process, providing education on treatment plans and progress.
• Staying current with ongoing clinical education and training requirements to maintain compliance with healthcare regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your patients will include individuals of varying ages who are experiencing orthopedic challenges arising from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions. With a strong focus on outpatient care, you will be instrumental in helping patients regain functionality and alleviate pain through tailored therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from a recognized and accredited program.
• Active state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• A minimum of two years of outpatient orthopedic experience.
• Current CPR certification to ensure readiness for any emergency situations.

Preferred Experience

While the core qualifications are essential, we appreciate candidates with additional certifications or training in specialties such as manual therapy, geriatric care, or sports rehabilitation. Experience in implementing evidence-based practice protocols is also preferred.
