This full-time position is pivotal in delivering exceptional physical therapy services within a rehabilitation facility. Work Environment

This position requires an onsite presence at our rehabilitation facility, which provides a supportive and collaborative atmosphere for both staff and patients. The clinic operates Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a balanced work schedule. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team that includes nurses, occupational therapists, and rehabilitation aides, all working together to facilitate optimal patient recovery.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical capabilities, understanding their specific needs and developing actionable therapy goals based on best practices.
• Design and execute individualized treatment plans incorporating various therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and balance training.
• Engage in hands-on therapy sessions that aim to restore functional mobility and enhance the patients' quality of life through evidence-based methods.
• Educate patients and their caregivers on effective mobility techniques, home exercise regimens, and lifestyle modifications to support ongoing recovery.
• Work closely with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care, ensuring seamless communication and treatment continuity.
• Document patient progress meticulously, maintaining treatment plans and outcome metrics in accordance with facility standards and regulatory requirements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient demographic primarily consists of individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, neurological impairments, sports injuries, and general debility. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a crucial role in supporting elderly patients in a skilled nursing context, along with a diverse population seeking rehabilitation for various conditions, thereby addressing their specific needs and collaborating on tailored recovery programs.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited Physical Therapy program (B.S., M.S., or D.P.T.).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills essential for patient engagement and education.
• Proficient in the latest physical therapy methods and adherence to the Physical Therapy Practice Act in New York.
• Current Physical Therapy license in the State of New York, as well as valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist, particularly in rehabilitation environments such as skilled nursing or outpatient settings.
• Experience with advanced therapeutic practices and technology is highly desirable.
• Background in patient evaluation, developing therapeutic protocols, and ongoing patient care management is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

In recognition of your expertise and contributions, we offer a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $120,000, along with performance-based incentives.
