Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical therapy evaluations for pediatric patients, determining individual needs and progress.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that align with the developmental goals and needs of each child.
• Regularly monitor and reassess patient progress, making appropriate adjustments to treatment plans as necessary to ensure effectiveness.
• Document all patient interactions, maintaining accurate and timely SOAP notes, progress summaries, and care plans using our electronic record system.
• Educate patients and families on the recovery process, providing support as they navigate the challenges associated with rehabilitation.
• Meet established utilization goals and contribute to other clinical and business objectives set by the organization.
• Collaborate with other therapists and healthcare professionals to provide integrated care for clients receiving multiple services at TheraPlay.
• Actively participate in promoting a positive workplace culture, representing the core values of the organization in all interactions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

TheraPlay serves a diverse array of pediatric patients, including children with developmental delays, orthopedic injuries, neurological conditions, and other special healthcare needs. As a Physical Therapist here, you will focus on enhancing mobility, strength, and functional independence in children of varying ages, backgrounds, and diagnoses. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• Current and unrestricted licensure to practice in Florida as mandated by the Board of Physical Therapy.
• Willingness to provide evaluations and treatment in-person and, when appropriate, via telehealth.
