Empower Concierge Rehab and PT is seeking a dedicated and skilled Float Physical Therapist (DPT) to join our team in Delray Beach, Florida. Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our rehabilitation facilities in Delray Beach, Florida, where you will encounter a fast-paced and supportive work atmosphere. As a Float Physical Therapist, your average workweek will be Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing you with a balanced work schedule while also offering the flexibility to cover additional shifts as needed. You will work closely with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions, giving you a broad range of clinical experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's clinical findings and goals.
• Administer hands-on therapy techniques designed to improve strength and mobility, and to alleviate pain.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide cohesive care, sharing insights with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals.
• Manage coverage across multiple hospital units and facilities, gauging staffing needs and patient demand to prioritize care.
• Maintain precise and timely patient documentation in compliance with all regulatory standards and organizational protocols.
• Educate patients and their families about home exercise strategies, mobility techniques, and methods for preventing further injury.
• Facilitate safe discharge planning in collaboration with case management to ensure continuity of care beyond the rehabilitation setting.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with adult and geriatric patients recovering from a variety of orthopedic and neurologic conditions. This includes post-operative rehabilitation for joint replacements, stroke recovery, and management of chronic pain syndromes. Your role will be pivotal in helping patients reclaim their functional independence and enhance their quality of life through dedicated and tailored therapy sessions.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
• Current Florida Physical Therapist license or eligibility to obtain one prior to starting.
• Demonstrated proficiency in clinical reasoning and the ability to adapt treatment methodologies based on individual patient needs.
• Strong communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with patients and their families as well as with healthcare team members.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Willing to travel between facilities within the region, with mileage reimbursement or a company vehicle provided as necessary.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of hospital or acute care experience preferred, though enthusiastic new graduates with exceptional clinical rotations will also be considered.
• An adaptability to work in various clinical settings under fast-paced conditions.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems to facilitate documentation and data management.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $90,000 per year, with mileage and travel reimbursement included.
