Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions to establish individualized treatment plans that promote optimal recovery.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and the use of assistive devices to alleviate pain and improve patient mobility.
• Develop and update treatment plans as patients progress, adjusting goals and objectives based on their rehabilitation needs.
• Document all patient interactions, treatments provided, progress made, and responses to therapy accurately in our electronic health records system.
• Educate patients, caregivers, and families on the use of assistive devices and the importance of adhering to physical therapy protocols.
• Serve as a resource and mentor to new graduates and therapy assistants as they acclimate to our professional environment.
• Engage in ongoing professional development by attending workshops and staying up-to-date with the latest therapeutic techniques and industry best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our facility serves a wide-ranging patient demographic, including children and adults suffering from orthopedic injuries, surgical recovery, chronic pain, and functional limitations. You will be instrumental in helping these individuals achieve their personal rehabilitation goals, enhancing their quality of life through targeted physical therapy interventions.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT).
• A valid State License to practice Physical Therapy.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in orthopedic physical therapy, ideally within a rehabilitation facility.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and fellow healthcare professionals.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications.
• A commitment to continuous learning and flexibility in adapting to new challenges.

Preferred Experience

While prior experience in physical therapy focused on orthopedic care is required, candidates with experience in home healthcare or pediatric therapy may also find opportunities to leverage their skills in our diverse therapeutic setting.
