Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients, reviewing pertinent medical histories, and performing specialized assessments to develop tailored treatment plans.
• Engaging with patients and their families to discuss evaluation findings and collaboratively setting realistic, achievable rehabilitation goals that align with their needs and lifestyle.
• Implementing evidence-based treatment protocols, demonstrating both proficiency in manual therapy techniques and competence in exercise prescription.
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to address complex patient needs, making timely adjustments to treatment plans based on patient progress and changes in condition.
• Ensuring thorough documentation of patient interactions, including evaluations, treatment plans, and discharge summaries, in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
• Managing your schedule effectively to meet productivity targets without compromising patient care, while also participating in community outreach and marketing initiatives.
• Demonstrating leadership by contributing to departmental goals, regulatory compliance, and participating in peer education and clinical instruction for students.
• Promoting a patient-centric experience by adapting to individual patient needs and actively participating in initiatives aimed at improving access to care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on orthopedic patients seeking rehabilitation services for musculoskeletal injuries or conditions. These may include post-operative recovery patients, individuals recovering from sports injuries, and others requiring rehabilitative care. You will work closely with patients to help them regain their strength, mobility, and independence, significantly impacting their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Possession of a valid Florida state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• A clean professional record without any history of disciplinary actions against the license.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy and exercise protocol design.
• Familiarity with WebPT EMR Software for efficient patient management.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to educate and engage patients and their families.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, experience in outpatient orthopedic settings and familiarity with contemporary rehabilitation techniques will be advantageous. Previous involvement in clinical education or mentorship roles is also valued, as this aligns with our commitment to professional development.
