Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and assessments based on physician referrals, ensuring a thorough understanding of each patient's medical history and functional limitations.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment programs that target specific rehabilitation goals, possibly involving orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, or sports medicine therapies.
• Provide hands-on therapy, utilizing techniques such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and modalities to optimize recovery.
• Foster exceptional customer service, cultivating strong relationships with patients and their families to enhance the therapeutic process.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to track patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary, prioritizing the patient outcomes.
• Educate clients and their caregivers on injury prevention, rehabilitation exercises, and health maintenance strategies.
• Meet and exceed minimum utilization targets and contribute to departmental performance objectives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will involve working with a diverse array of patients, primarily focusing on orthopedic issues, but may extend to pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine cases. This variety allows you to broaden your clinical skills and experience while delivering care that is tailored to varying age groups and physical conditions. You will ensure that each patient receives personalized attention suited to their unique recovery journey, empowering them towards their functional goals.

Qualifications

• Completed a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA or CAPTE-accredited program.
• Current state licensure in Physical Therapy in Florida.
• Certification in Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in using word processing and computer software for documentation and reporting.

Preferred Experience

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience in outpatient orthopedic settings or similar rehabilitation environments is highly valued.
• Demonstrated commitment to developing positive relationships with patients and contributing to community health initiatives.

Compensation and Benefits
