Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial mental health assessments that are sensitive to the cultural backgrounds of patients to ensure the development of tailored treatment plans.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to provide effective interventions.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions focused on managing mental health disorders and fostering resilience.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other health care professionals to create comprehensive care plans that address all aspects of a patient’s well-being.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention support to patients experiencing mental health emergencies, ensuring their safety and well-being.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health resources, treatment options, and community support systems available to them.

• Maintain precise and confidential records in accordance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing modern electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Engage in case conferences and team meetings to discuss treatment strategies and improve care delivery.

• Stay informed about current best practices and emerging research in mental health, particularly concerning diverse populations.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work primarily with a diverse array of patients, including individuals from various cultural and ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ+ individuals, and those from immigrant communities. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C in the state of Maryland.

• A deep understanding of mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and culturally competent practices in the therapeutic setting.

• Demonstrated experience in providing therapeutic interventions, including both individual and group therapy, tailored to meet the diverse needs of clients.

• Strong crisis management skills, with the ability to remain composed and effective under stress.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to establish rapport with patients from varied backgrounds.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and various computer applications relevant to the role.

• A commitment to upholding professional ethics, confidentiality, and establishing appropriate boundaries with clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
