Work Environment\n

This position offers the convenience of remote work, allowing Mental Health Therapists to perform their duties from various locations while maintaining a structured schedule. The standard work hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, although some flexibility may be required to accommodate patient needs and available time slots for therapy sessions.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed assessments to understand each patient's history and develop personalized treatment approaches.

• Design and implement tailored treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, actively involving patients in their healing journey.

• Utilize evidence-based interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) during both individual and group therapy sessions.

• Deliver therapeutic support to patients, helping them process their experiences, cultivate coping strategies, and promote overall emotional well-being.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated care, addressing all aspects of the patients' mental health needs.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, applying established protocols to ensure the safety and stability of patients.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available support resources, facilitating a comprehensive understanding of the healing process.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with established legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems proficiently.

• Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings to share insights, enhance care strategies, and discuss best practices in trauma-informed treatment.

• Commit to ongoing professional development by staying up to date with the latest research and clinical advancements in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The target population for this role primarily consists of individuals affected by trauma, including but not limited to those dealing with PTSD, chronic trauma, and other related mental health issues. Our therapists work closely with these clients to create safe spaces for healing, empowering them with tools to navigate their challenges effectively. The diverse backgrounds and experiences of our patients necessitate a culturally competent approach to care that recognizes each person’s unique journey.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience, preferably in a mental health setting focused on trauma.

• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders, effective trauma-informed treatment modalities, and resilience-building techniques.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to interacting with patients.

• Ability to remain composed and effective in high-stress situations, employing sound judgement during patient crises.

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) software and related computer applications to document patient interactions and treatment plans.

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, preference will be given to candidates who have substantial experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions. Familiarity with group therapy settings and community mental health resources can also be advantageous in this role.

Compensation and Benefits\n
