Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand patients' trauma histories and formulate personalized treatment strategies.

• Develop, execute, and adjust individualized treatment plans that promote trauma recovery and resilience-building in collaboration with patients.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), tailored to patient needs.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping clients process their trauma, develop coping mechanisms, and nurture their healing process.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and other professionals in a multidisciplinary team setting to provide integrated care that addresses all aspects of a patient’s well-being.

• Provide timely crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, employing de-escalation techniques and appropriate therapeutic responses.

• Educate patients and their families regarding trauma responses, effective coping strategies, and available community resources to aid in their recovery.

• Maintain complete and accurate patient documentation in adherence to legal and ethical standards, ensuring confidential handling of sensitive information.

• Engage in regular case consultations, attend team meetings, and partake in professional development initiatives specific to trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to enhance therapeutic effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with adults, teens, and families who have experienced various forms of trauma. This may include individuals suffering from PTSD due to violent crimes, domestic abuse, natural disasters, or other distressing events. Your expertise will guide them in their recovery and help instill hope for a brighter future.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the State of Texas is required.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience is highly desirable.
\n
• Deep understanding of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to therapy.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications essential for practice management.

Compensation and Benefits\n
